10 Dangerous Gangs In The World

Gang rivalry is one of the most common issues in the world. There are an estimated 30,000 gangs only in the US. There is no scientific way to prove which gang is most dangerous with their violent and inhumane business. But these are some of the dangerous gangs in the world you would not wanna mess with. Largely responsible for most common crimes in our society these days including drug trafficking, human trafficking, murders, arms trafficking, and many other illegal activities.

1.TRIADS

Triad or Triads is a huge Chinese crime syndicate which is actually a conglomerate of gangs that has over 2.5 million members all over the world. Triad or in Chinese San Ho Hui, which means Triple Union Society, was actually one of the three secret societies in ancient China. They originated in the 18th century in China and have been active since. Outside of China, they are also active in other parts of the world including the United States, Canada, Vietnam, Korea, Japan, Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, and France, Spain, South Africa, Australia, Brazil and New Zealand and some other countries. They are engaged in pretty much all the illegal activities such as Extortion, murder, assault, and racketeering, contract killing, human trafficking, prostitution, kidnapping, robbery, drug trafficking, police and political corruption, money laundering, arms trafficking. Four of Triad members were arrested for health care fraud In 2012 in Japan. One of the clans of Triads is 14K.

2.MARA SALVATRUCHA

One of the most violent gangs in the Mara Salvatrucha also known as MS13 originally originated in Los Angeles, California in the 1980s. They have been active since in the US and outside of the US, like in Canada and Mexico. It has relations with the U.S.–El Salvador. MS-13 is mostly known for its cruelty and gang rivalry with the 18th Street Gang. They have an estimated 50,000 gang members worldwide. MS-13 also has allied with other gangs like the Mexican Mafia and Los Zetas. They have been the cause of many illegal activities like Drug trafficking, illegal immigration, robbery, larceny, human trafficking and extortion, murder, money laundering, prostitution and racketeering, battery, kidnapping, and arms trafficking. They have also been involved with child prostitution. Most of their victims are also minors.

3. COSA NOSTRA

Cosa Nostra which translates in Our Thing is a Sicilian Mafia Organised crime syndicate. The members of this gang call themselves Men of Honour. The public refers to them as Mafiosi. The Cosa Nostra actually originated in the early days of New York City’s lower east side. The Cosa Nostra is mostly involved in protection racketeering, the arbitration of disputes between criminals, and the organizing and oversight of illegal agreements and transactions. Other than that they are also involved in illegal drug trade, Murder, and contract killings, extortion, Assault, Smuggling, political corruption and terrorism, Illegal gambling and prostitution and many more. They also have allies in many gangs around the world like Mexican drug cartels, American Mafia and Romanian mafia. They have been around since the 19th century and have been heavily involved in countries like Italy in Europe, Venezuela in South America, the United States and Canada in North America, South Africa in Africa.

4. SOLNTSEVSKAYA BRATVA

The Solntsevskaya Bratva is the Solntsevskaya Organized Crime Group also known as the Solntsevskaya Brotherhood. This gang originated in Moscow, Russia in the late 1980s. They have allied with some other gangs including the Chinese Triads. Apart from Russia, they also cause crimes in many countries such as Ukraine, Hungary, Denmark, Netherlands, Czech Republic, United States, and Israel, United Kingdom, South Africa, Canada and other parts of Europe, Africa, and Australia. They are involved in crimes like Racketeering, extortion, illegal gambling, arms trafficking, human trafficking, prostitution, drug trafficking, robbery and arson, bribery, money laundering, fraud, larceny, murder, and Fence. The Solntsevskaya Bratva is currently one of the richest mafia groups. The 10 brigades of this criminal organization have over 9000 members.

5. LOS ZETAS

Los Zetas or simply known as The Zs is the biggest and most dangerous drug cartel of Mexico. The Los Zetas originated in the late 1990s when Mexican Army commandos deserted their positions and began to work as an enforcement arm of the Gulf Cartel. Later in February 2010 Los Zetas broke away and created their own criminal organization and became rivals with the Gulf Cartel. They are also rivals with the Cosa Nostra. Apart from drug trafficking, human trafficking and arms trafficking they also engage in murder, rape, kidnapping, racketeering, and extortion, ransom, video piracy, prostitution, and theft. They are known for their violent tactics like beheadings, indiscriminate murder, and torture. Outside of Mexico, they are also active in the US and Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, Colombia, and Peru.

6. 18TH STREET GANG

Simply known as La 18, the 18th Street Gang is a multi-ethnic transnational criminal organization. The 18th Street Gang was founded in the 1960s in Los Angeles, California. With approximately 50,000 members only in the US, the 18th Street Gang is currently one of the biggest gangs in the US. They also have members in other countries including Spain, Australia, Canada, Lebanon, Peru, Philippines, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador and in some parts of Europe. According to reports on average every day someone in Los Angeles is assaulted or robbed by a member of 18th Street. The 18th Street Gang has a rivalry with the Bloods and Crips and MS-13. But this gang has left all their rivals far behind when it comes to killing people, as the 18th Street Gang has a kill count as high as three times as any of their rivals. They are also involved in Drug trafficking, arson, kidnapping, pandering, money laundering, extortion, arms trafficking, human trafficking, theft, racketeering, and fraud.

7. ARYAN BROTHERHOOD

The Aryan Brotherhood is a is a white prison gang and an organized crime syndicate that originated in San Quentin State Prison, California in 1964. They have an estimated 20,000 gang members in the U.S. Involved in crimes like drug trafficking, extortion, inmate prostitution, and murder-for-hire this gang also has contacts with Mexican Mafia, Aryan Nations and American Mafia. The Aryan Brothers are responsible for 1/4 of murders in the prisons of the United States. This gang is mostly known for its crucial and tortures ways of killing people.

8. CRIPS

One of the most violent and dangerous gangs in the United States is Crips. Mostly known for their rivalry with Bloods, Crips which stands for “Community Revolution In Progress, was formed in Los Angeles, California in 1969 and have been active since. Mostly associated with Drug trafficking, robbery, burglary, illegal gambling, theft, they are also involved in extortion, murder, and racketeering. This mostly American African street gang an approximate 35,000 gang members. The members of this street gang wear the color blue and call each other Cuzz. The allies of Folk Nation, Crips also populated the Crip Walk dance.

9. BLOOD

Formed in 1972, Blood is another American street gang. Blood was formed to fight the terror of Crips, in Los Angeles, California. The name Blood actually stands for Brotherly Love Overrides Oppression and Destruction. They call each other by the name blood and typically wears red. With estimated members of 25,000, Blood is also active in some parts of Canada. They have been associated with Drug trafficking, robbery, murder, burglary, prostitution, and theft extortion.

10. YAKUZA

Founded in the 17th century, the Yakuza is a Japanese transnational organized crime syndicate. Yakuza which translates into The Extreme Path is also known as Gokudo. The Yakuza gang members call themselves ninkyo dantai which means chivalrous organizations. To be a member, someone has to cut off all ties with their families and prove loyalty to their boss. They have around 39,100 members in their gang. One of the largest organized crime groups in the world is mostly known for their skills in murder. Apart from Japan, they are also active in the US and North Korea.
