Forbes has been publishing its list of the biggest companies since 2003. Forbes rankings are based on sales, profit, assets and market value of these companies. The Forbes list includes publicly traded companies from 60 countries. According to Forbes, the top ten biggest companies in the world are:

1. ICBC

The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited is the largest company in the world, according to Forbes. The banking company is based in Bejing, China. Last year it had a sell of $165.3 billion, gained a profit of $43.7 billion, has assets of $4210.9 billion and has a market value of $311 billion. ICBC is the largest Chinese bank and the largest bank in the world based on its total assets, deposits, loans, number of customers and number of employees. ICBC also holds the 1st in The Banker’s Top 1000 World Banks ranking.

2. CHINA CONSTRUCTION BANK

Another banking company of China is the China Construction Bank, which holds the 2nd rank in this list. The bank is also based in Bejing. In the previous year, it had a sell of $143.2 billion, Had a profit of $37.1 billion, had total assets of $3631.6 billion, and has a market value of $261.2 billion. 3. JPMORGAN CHASE

The 3rd rank of biggest companies in the world is dominated by JPMorgan Chase. JPMorgan is a multinational investment bank, providing financial services. 10. PING AN INSURANCE COMPANY

Ping An Insurance Company was founded in1988 and has its headquarter based in Shenzhen. It is a Chinese holding conglomerate, which means it holds major stocks of other companies. And those companies primarily deals with insurance, banking, and financial services. It is the largest and most valuable insurance company in the world. According to Forbes, last year the company had a sell of $141.6 billion and gained a profit of $13.9 billion. It has assets worth $1066.4 billion and has a market value worth $181.4 billion, as of 2018.
