Hollywood Strangest Deaths

If past years has taught us anything about the larger than life industry, is that even our favourite stars are vulnerable to unexpected life’s tragedies. In recent years we have seen more celebrities losing their life at such a young age. And the majority of deaths were not by natural causes. We have seen much celebrity dying in strange circumstances or deaths that have been a mystery all along. Here we are remembering ten of Hollywood’s strangest deaths.

1. Bobbi Kristina Brown:

Daughter of the late, legendary Whitney Houston, Bobbi Kristina Brown was found face down and unconscious in her bathtub in her Georgia home after almost six months, she died on July 26, 2015, in an Atlanta-area hospice. But the little girl never regained consciousness to explain what happened before she fell unconscious. When the autopsy results were released, more than a year later of her death, it said, she died from a fatal combination of multiple drugs and immersion in water. But the medical examiner could not determine if it was intentional or accidental. Though her family cast suspicion on her boyfriend at the time, no one has been charged.

2. Tupac Shakur:

One of the most mystirious and shocking deaths of Hollywood is Tupac Shakur’s. The star hip-hop artist lost his life when he was in a car headed to a club gig in Las Vegas on Sept. 7, 1996. He was shot four times in a drive-by shooting and he was 25 at that time. Tupac Shakur died six days later, on Sept. 13, at a local hospital. His murder remains unsolved.

3. Christopher Wallace, aka Biggie Smalls:

Another shock came when just six months after Shakur’s murder, another star rapper Wallace aka Biggie Smalls was also shot multiple times in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles. It was on March 9, 1997, and he was also 25 at that time. Wallace was leaving a party while the tragedy occurred. He died about an hour later. His murder also still unsolved.

4. Marilyn Monroe:

On August 5, 1962, the sudden death of Marilyn Monroe at her Los Angeles home, shocked everyone. Her death was officially ruled a suicide by barbiturate overdose. Reportedly, she slipped into a coma after taking too many sleeping pills. But many items allegedly being removed from her home and other speculations created many theories surrounding her death. From accidental overdose to murder by the mafia in retaliation to President John F. Kennedy and his brother Robert possibly orchestrating the murder, since she supposedly had an affair with both of them.

5. Natalie Wood:

On Nov. 29, 1981, Oscar-nominated actress Natalie Wood disappeared from her yacht under strange circumstances. She was boating off Santa Catalina Island with her then-husband Robert Wagner and Christopher Walken. Wagner and Walken got into an argument, and Wood went to bed, but when Wagner went to say goodnight, Wood was missing. Or at least this was how it was told. Wood’s body was found floating in the Pacific about a mile away from the yacht and of the island’s Blue Cavern Point. At that time her death was ruled an accidental drowning, though many questions were raised. In November 2011, surprisingly the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reopened her case.

6. Elizabeth Short, the ‘Black Dahlia’:

Elizabeth Short was gruesomely murdered in Los Angeles at the age of 22. She was an aspiring actress dubbed the Black Dahlia. Short was found naked and her body cut in half at the waist, drained of blood and posed with her face had been cut from ear to ear, and investigators later found evidence that she had been bound. Her case remains unsolved to date.

7. Bob Crane:

Bob Crane was best known for being the star of the TV comedy Hogan’s Heroes. Crane was found on June 29, 1978, in his Phoenix-area apartment at age 49. Crane was beaten to death with an electrical cord wound around his throat. Investigators found out that Crane had filmed and photographed pornography, and had possibly been bludgeoned with a camera tripod. The officials suspected his friend John Carpenter for his murder but lacked DNA evidence.

8. JONBENÉT RAMSEY:

JonBenét Ramsey, a beauty pageant child contestant, was murdered in her home in Colorado. According to Ramsey’s parents, eight hours before her body was found they received a ransom note just demanding $118,000 in exchange for their daughter’s return. JonBenét’s parents were suspected though they insisted they were innocent. After Ramsey’s mother died, John Mark Karr admitted that he killed Ramsey. Later he was released when DNA tests showed he could not have been at the crime scene. Prosecutors also cleared the parents, claiming DNA points to an “unexplained third party.”

9. Brittany Murphy:

Clueless fame actress Britney Murphy’s death was one of the strangest deaths in Hollywood. In 2009, she died at the age of 32. The actor said to have died from a combination of pneumonia, an iron deficiency and multiple drug intoxication. Five months later her husband also passed away from similar reasons to Brittany. Many speculated that Brittany Murphy was poisoned including her father.

10. David Carradine:


The Kill Bill and Kung Fu star was found dead naked and hanging in the closet in his Bangkok hotel room on June 4, 2009. Reportedly, a private autopsy found Carradine died of asphyxiation, ruling out suicide but leaving open the possibility of accidental death. But according to the Bangkok police, Carradine’s body was in a sitting position, with a rope wrapped around his neck and attached to a closet bar when a maid discovered him.
