The largest and northernmost of the major islands in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland is Skye or the Isle Of Skye. Skye has been one of the most popular tourist destinations for years. The picturesque view with its mild weather presents itself as a perfect tourist destination. Which was true until recently when the place started to get overcrowded. In 2017, the place got filled with thousands of tourist. Its narrow lanes were piled up by thousands of cars and coaches and the infrastructure couldn’t handle the pressure and cracked. And because of all the traffic and crowds noises and unsanitary behaviour of the tourists, the locals started to complain. Later the officials had to get involved. If you are planning to visit this place, maybe you should put away your plans for a few years or you can go to this place in another season that will be less crowded and co-operate with locals.

2. GALAPAGOS ISLAND, ECUADOR

Part of the Republic of Ecuador, the archipelago of volcanic islands called Galapagos Island. The UNESCO world heritage site is home to many endangered and endemic species. The volcanic island is favourite among adventure and nature lovers. Galapagos attracts thousands of tourists every year especially its exciting wild-life, which is among the best in the world. Reportedly in 1835, when Charles Darwin explored the island, it inspired his theory of evolution. But heavy tourism is affecting the island’s vulnerable and fragile eco-system. And because the island is full of species that are not found elsewhere, Galapagos should be protected from any danger.

But one of the most naturally diverse countries also is a country with one of the highest crime rates. According to reports in every 20 minutes a person is murdered in this country. The crime rates are so high in this country that the government no longer publishes the crime data. The place is especially dangerous for tourists. Since there have been many murder, robberies, kidnapping cases, and the victim being a tourist. There even have been warnings by governments for outside visitors.

4. IBIZA, SPAIN

The third largest of the Balearic Islands Ibiza is a Spanish island located in the Mediterranean Sea off the eastern coast of Spain. The island is a UNESCO heritage site. Ibiza is very famous because of its nightlife, electronic dance music, wild party destinations, and its beaches and summer club scenes. But lately, there has been news of many tourists deaths in Ibiza. The deaths of multiple young tourists have raises the question of safety on the island. Because many of the victims were British, the government has blamed the deaths on the so-called British drinking culture. While the locals blamed the deaths on the increasing number of tourists that are making it overcrowded. No matter how much you like the rowdy nightlife, you should definitely skip this island, at least for now.

5. NORTH KOREA

There are many great places in the world to visit but North Korea is not one of them. There are people who are fascinated by this strange and scary East Asian country. There have numerous cases of human rights violation in this country. Even the UN had to get involved and the government still denies all the allegations. In 2016, there was an American student named Otto Warmbier who went to visit the country and later passed away after coming home in a coma. He had a severe neurological injury. And all of this happened because he reportedly has stolen a picture or a poster from his Pyongyang hotel.

This Spanish city does not really need an introduction. Barcelona has been featured in so many lists of top tourists destinations. One of the most popular cities in the world, Barcelona is very much popular among tourist. The unique and fascinating architecture is just mindblowing. Every year Barcelona gest way more than a few million tourists. And because of that, the area has become overcrowded. The angered locals have been protesting against tourists overcrowding the place. There have been reports of rowdy behavior towards the tourists from the locals. The problem is more than just overcrowding, according to the locals because of apps like Airbnb the rents are increasing and that’s causing people to leave their homes. The government has passed a law to limit the number of tourists.

After some very violent attacks on the minorities of the country, Myanmar has become one of the countries that might get you in trouble. The massacre has been hugely criticized by all the other nations and the U.N. The violence of human rights has become an issue for the country. Though the beautiful country attracts all of our hearts, for now, you should avoid going to this country for good.

Located in the Indian Ocean, the island country, Madagascar is one of the most popular destinations and the fourth largest island in the world. Madagascar does attract a large number of tourists every year. But in 2007, there was a plague outbreak on the island that affected nearly 2000 people. Apart from that Madagascar does have a record of increasing violence and robberies because of the high unemployment rate in the country. It has been ranked as one of the most dangerous places in the world.

Located in the Middle East, Jerusalem is one of the oldest city in the world. Stated on a plateau in the Judaean Mountains between the Mediterranean and the Dead Sea, Jerusalem is considered as a holy place. Jerusalem is a beautiful city filled with historical monuments. But it also has been the centre of conflict for many years now. Because of the conflict between Israel and Palestine, Jerusalem remains a dangerous country.
