Arguably the most anticipated movie of this year, Avengers: Endgame has released worldwide. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Endgame is the 22nd film since the Marvel Cinematic Universe that kick-started with Iron Man. Endgame is going to mark the end of an era since it is going to be the last film of this timeline. As excited as we are the tickets are running out faster than anything. So, as you wait to get your hands on some Endgame tickets, here are some cool facts about the Avengers: Endgame.

  1. Records

Of course, the most movie of 2019 has set a few records since its release. Endgame grossed $120–140 million in pre-sales alone in the US. In India, the film sold one million tickets in just one day, 18 tickets were sold every second. In China, the movie sold a record one million tickets in just six hours and made $114.5 million just from its pre-sale tickets. Endgame has grossed $305 million (Rs 2,130 crore) worldwide in just two days of its release. Avengers: Endgame is smashing records worldwide. According to BookMyShow, it has become the fastest film to surpass the two million advance ticket booking mark. The movie is also earning a lot of praises from critics. It has 96% and 9.2 ratings on Rotten Tomatoes and IMDb respectively.

2. The Running Time

The running time of the Avengers: Endgame is 3 hours and 1 minute. Most of the footage used in the movie trailers on YouTube and TV Spots are said to be extracted from only the first 15-20 minutes of the movie. So, all we (unfortunate, didn’t get a ticket people) can do now is just imagine how amazing the rest of the movie going to be.

3. Another Record

Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame has also set the record of being the first Hollywood movies to have been shot entirely on digital IMAX Cameras in an open-matte aspect ratio of 1.9:1.

4. Post-Credit Scene

Since the MCU made its debut with the first installment of the Iron Man series, MCU has also established a tradition for itself. A post-credit scene which won’t let you leave your seat even after the credit has been rolled and a cameo from The Man himself, Stan Lee. But, spoiler alert, there’s apparently no post-credit scenes in Endgame, which is kind of understandable since it is the film that going to complete the arc of 22 films. But it does have a cameo from the legend. It is going to be the last appearance from Stan Lee. Stan Lee passed away in November 2018 but he surely is going to stay in our hearts for a long long time.

5.No Spoilers

Directors Russo Brothers published a letter to MCU fans, urging them not to reveal any details and spoilers about the upcoming movie. This started a viral trend on Twitter, with the hashtags #DontSpoilTheEndgame and #ThanosDemandsYourSilence.

6. Ticket Crisis

Since the pre-sales of the Avengers: Endgame tickets started to sell out in hours. Some opening night tickets for the movie was resold on eBay for a very high price. Apparently, two tickets of the movie were resold $ 15,000 US. The extremely high priced pair of IMAX tickets were sold in New Jersey.

7. The Hulk And Ant-man

The Avengers: Endgame is going to be the first movie that will bring Ant-man played by Paul Rudd and The Hulk played by Mark Ruffalo together. We might get to see these two Avengers team up to kick some serious purple butt.

8. Thanos

The character whom we all hate to love, Thanos was originally killed by Drax the Destroyer in the comics. Drax the Destroyer and Thanos both were created by Jim Starling. In 1973, Drax appeared in The Invincible Iron Man #55, he was known as Arthur Douglas. Douglas’s family was killed by Thanos and Douglas was assumed dead. Douglas’ conscience was actually transported into another body, later to be known as Drax the Destroyer. Moondragon who was Drax’s daughter was kidnapped by Thanos in one comic line and Drax eventually found him and killed the Titan.

9. The Role Of Iron Man

As we all know Iron Man is going to play a very important role in the movie probably the most important one. But we all have heard some spoilers regarding the most loved superhero of the MCU and RDJ have also hinted that Endgame will be his last movie as Iron Man. And Chris Evans has also said that this is his last movie as Captain America. So the biggest question right now who is going to be the next Iron Man and Captain America. Fans have speculated that James Rhodes aka War Machine or Pepper Potts could be the next Iron Man or Iron Woman.

10. What After Avengers: Endgame

Avengers: Endgame is going to mark the end of an era. As heartbreaking as it is, we can at least give ourselves some relief by saying this is not the end for Marvel Studios. MCU has already announced a few upcoming projects. And they are also making a TV series on the God Of Mischief, Loki. So, Marvel fans actually have a lot to look forward to.
