1. Lake Atitlan & Pacaya, Guatemala:

   Ringed by steep and verdant hills, Lake Atitlan is known for its Mayan villages and volcanoes with striking pointed cones. There are hiking paths to the top of Atitlán volcano. 

    Pacaya, an active complex volcano, is another natural wonder in Guatemala. Pacaya offers breathtaking views from the top and you can also witness smoke and molten lava.

2. Manuel Antonio National Park & Monteverde Cloud Forest, Costa Rica:

    Costa Rica has 29 national parks and Manuel Antonio National Park is one of the most famous ones. Consisting of the rugged rain-forest, white-sand beaches and coral reefs, Manuel Antonio National Park is known for its diversity. Its tropical plants and wildlife including some endangered species to hundreds of bird species attract travelers from across the world. 

    Located within the Puntarenas and Alajuela provinces, the Cloud Forest in Costa Rica serves as an example of what ordinary people can do to preserve the environment they live in. Costa Rica represents just 0.03% of earth’s landmass but contains 5% of its biodiversity. The Cloud Forest has a thick layer of cloud permanently hovering above the forest’s upper canopy.

    Ojo de Agua is one of the most beautiful natural swimming holes with crystal clear water. Despite being volcanic-origin water among native plants & wildlife, the clarity of the water of this picturesque natural pool attracts much crowd across the world. A lagoon between two volcanoes on an island in a lake, the location only makes you want to visit it more.

   Cerro Negro is another wonder you have to visit in Nicaragua. The active volcano in the Cordillera de los Maribios mountain range is the youngest in Central America.

4. Actun Tunichil Muknal & Great Blue Hole, Belize:

    Now Belize has a number of natural wonders, the Belize Barrier Reef is a wonder itself. One of the most popular attractions in the country, the Actun Tunichil Muknal can only be reached by trekking into the jungle, swimming across a river and scrambling through some narrow underground passageways. The Cave contains a chamber which was used by high-status people to perform rituals.

    The Great Blue Hole has become one of the most famous diving sites because of its diversity of species. The UNESCO world heritage site is a giant marine sinkhole.

5. San Blas Islands & Bocas del Toro, Panama:

    San Blas Islands is one of the most stunning archipelagoes comprising approximately 365 islands and cays. The tropical island idylls dotted along the Caribbean coast are known for their coral reefs, shipwrecks and pristine sandy beaches. 

   Bocas del Toro is another island chain off the Caribbean coast with biodiverse rainforest. It has become a well-known hub among surfers and fans of white sandy beaches alike. There are plenty of classy bars and restaurants to keep tourists busy.

    Parque Nacional Los Volcanes or Cerro Verde National Park is home to three volcanoes- Cerro Verde, Izalco, and Santa Ana. Though for many, El Salvador is not the ideal place to spend your holiday because of the violence. But if you get the chance, do visit this country as it’s rich in natural wonders. The national park also includes lush rainforest and crystalline crater lakes situated along with the volcanoes.

    Roatan is one of the most beautiful islands you’ll visit. The idyllic island off the coast of Honduras is the largest of the Bay Islands of the country.      The natural monument in the department of Alta Verapaz consists of a series of stepped, turquoise pools with a natural 300 m limestone bridge. The Cahabón River passes from under the bridge.     An active andesitic stratovolcano in north-western Costa Rica, the Arenal Volcano is a prominent active volcano with hiking trails in the rainforest, lava fields & hot springs. The volcano has a crater of 140 metres and is a popular place among hikers.

      Located in the Bocas del Toro archipelago, the Isla Bastimentos Marine Park is Panama’s first national marine park. The park is home to the magnificent sea turtles and several species of birds.
