      The Japanese multinational corporation, Suzuki Automobile company is one of the most renowned automakers manufactures. The company has its headquarter in Minami-Ku, Hamamatsu and they manufacture everything from automobiles, four-wheel-drive vehicles, motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, to outboard marine engines, wheelchairs and other small engines. Suzuki is Japan’s fourth-largest automaker and they produced 739,326 units in the first quarter of 2017. They market their vehicles in over 190 different countries.

    PSA Peugeot Citroen or Peugeot Citroën Automobiles SA is a French multinational manufacturer of automobiles and motorcycles. The company also produce bicycles and trucks. They have their headquarter located in Rueil-Malmaison, France. The company produced 682,174 units in the first quarter of 2017 and they are growing the business by expanding throughout Europe. 

8. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles:

    World’s eighth-largest automaker, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles or FCA is an Italian-American multinational corporation. It was established in by merging Fiat and Chrysler into a new company in October 2014. It is among big three American automakers boosting 159 manufacturing facilities worldwide. In 2018, the company earned a revenue of 11,041 crores EUR.

7. Honda Motor Company:

    The Japanese public multinational conglomerate corporation, Honda Motor is best known for manufacturing automobiles, motorcycles, and power equipment. Honda was founded by on 24 September 1948 by  Soichiro Honda and Takeo Fujisawa. Honda is determined to make three-quarters of its vehicles electric by 2030.

6. Ford Motor Company:

   Headquartered in Dearborn, Michigan, Ford Motor Company is an American multinational automaker founded by Henry Ford on June 16, 1903. It is one of the largest family-owned business in the world. The most luxury cars of Ford are sold under the Lincoln brand. The first vehicle which was constructed by Henry Ford used four bicycle wheels and a four-horsepower engine with no reverse gear.

    The South Korean multinational automotive manufacturer, Hyundai Motor is among the most well-known brands in the world. The company has its headquarter in Seoul. The company produce everything from automobiles to yachts to stereo equipment. Hyundai also owns part of the company Kia now as a result of Kia’s bankruptcy in 2007.

    The American multinational corporation, General Motors Company distributes vehicles and vehicle parts and sells financial services. They are headquartered in Detroit. In 2018 the company produced 8,384,000 vehicles and in the same year, it was ranked as the 10th largest American corporation by revenue on the Fortune 500. Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac, Hummer, Opel, and ACDelco are few of its subsidiaries. 

2. Toyota Motor Corporation:

    The 10th-largest company in the world by revenue, Toyota is a Japanese multinational automotive manufacturer. In 2018, it was the sixth-largest company by revenue. The company also manufacture industrial equipment and individual automotive parts along with automobiles.

     The biggest car manufacturers in the world, Volkswagen AG is a German multinational automotive manufacturing company. Its headquarter is located in Wolfsburg, Lower Saxony, Germany. In 2018, it earned a revenue of US$278 billion. The majority of the company is owned by the Austrian-German Porsche-Piëch family. Volkswagen means “People’s Car” as the car company was started with the intention of being accessible to everyday people.
